About the Program
GWEC industry members offer students in GWEC schools the opportunity to compete for paid Practical Work Experiences (PWE). The PWE structure, developed by schools and industry members working together, provides the student a comprehensive learning opportunity.
GWEC has established the PWE program to provide internships and/or coops for students pursuing wireless education. The PWE program is designed to enhance the wireless education for students pursuing engineering, technician, or computer science education at GWEC member schools.
The goal of the Practical Work Experience is to add to and reinforce the educational program. Students will see their classroom learning come to life! By establishing a universal structure for the PWE, the GWEC members are collaborating to ensure the best experience for the student while assuring the companies that new employees, if coming from a GWEC school, will have the knowledge necessary to become productive quicker.
Who can apply?
GWEC member-school students who maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better may apply for a GWEC Practical Work Experience by completing the online application form.
