GWEC Education Partner Suggested Application Process
  • Print this page from your browser for reference during the process.
  • Print out the APPLICATION WORKSHEET. Use the worksheet to gather all the information needed prior to completing the application online. Do not send the worksheet as your application.
  • Consider drafting your longer responses to worksheet questions in a text editor for later cut/paste into the online application.
  • The application is completed in two parts. Part 1 is required and Part 2 is optional, but encouraged. You may complete these two parts at one time (i.e. in one online session) or you may want to do them in two sessions.
  • You must complete and print the part of the application you are working on in a single session. Keep the printed copy of your session for inclusion with your application.
  • If you need to work off-line, access the ONLINE APPLICATION PART-1 or PART-2 to load a copy of the form you will be working on into your browser. Disconnect from the Internet. Complete the application (PART-1 or PART-2) in your browser. When you are ready to submit that application part, re-connect to the Internet before clicking "READY".

Steps to completing the two-part Application
  1. With your worksheet as a guide, access the ONLINE APPLICATION PART-1 and complete all the questions. Every question requires a response unless otherwise noted. Review your responses. PLEASE NOTE: Some browsers and security settings will delete all data if you need to click a back button, so please check that all your responses are correct and you have entered data in every field.

  2. After you have completed all questions on part 1, click the "APPLICATION PART-1 READY" button.

  3. A printable version of the information you entered will display.

  4. Use your browser's PRINT option to print the fully completed APPLICATION PART-1. Retain this printed copy.

  5. This completes the Application Part-1, which is mandatory. At this point, you may skip to Step #13 or continue to complete Part-2 which is useful but optional.

  6. IMPORTANT: After printing PART-1, click the button "Click here after printing". A link to ONLINE APPLICATION PART-2 will be displayed.

  7. You must use the link provided to access PART-2; it contains identifier information. Bookmark this link if you will not be completing PART-2 in the same session. (Your link to PART-2 will also be emailed to the MAIN CONTACT you named in PART-1.)

  8. Using the link provided at completion of PART-1, access the ONLINE APPLICATION PART-2 and complete the questions.

  9. After you have completed all questions on part 2, click the "APPLICATION PART-2 READY" button.

  10. A printable version of the information you entered will display. Review your responses. If you need to make corrections or changes before printing, use the BACK button on your browser to return to the application form. Make your corrections and click the "APPLICATION PART-2 READY" button again.

  11. Use your browser's PRINT option to print the fully completed APPLICATION PART-2. Retain this printed copy.

  12. IMPORTANT: After printing PART-2, click the button "Click here after printing". A link to ONLINE APPLICATION PART-2 will be displayed. The link to PART-2 will also be emailed to the MAIN CONTACT you named in PART-1. You must use the link provided to access PART-2; it contains identifier information.

  13. Have the required persons sign and date the application in the spaces provided at the end of PART-1. Please note the level of personnel required for signature.

  14. Make a complete copy of your application and supporing materials for your records.

  15. Mail the completed online application, PART-1 (required) and PART-2 (optional), together with all supporting materials to the GWEC address on the application.

GWEC's Membership Committee will review applications prior to each GWEC Board meeting. (See dates of planned GWEC Board meetings by clicking on EVENTS on the GWEC web site).

In order to be considered for membership, completed applications must be received by the GWEC office one month prior to a Board meeting.

Your institution will not be considered by the GWEC Membership Committee unless all information is completed. Please remember to include full details and attach supporting materials where requested.
